Richard P. Hix is a 1977 graduate of
Duke Law School, and received his undergraduate education at the
University of Oklahoma
. At Duke he was an Editor of Law and Contemporary Problems and a member of the Moot Court Board. He graduated with highest honors from the
University of Oklahoma
in 1973 and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Mr. Hix is a Master in the Hudson-Hall-Wheaton Chapter of the American Inns of Court. He has served for several years as an Adjunct Settlement Judge for the Tulsa County District Court and is currently serving in the same capacity for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma.
Mr. Hix specializes in litigation of business disputes. He has developed expertise in complex cases, and has acted as counsel in federal and state courts throughout the country. He has substantial experience as lead trial counsel in jury and non-jury matters. He has handled business cases of virtually every variety, but has been particularly involved in securities, business tort, energy and general contract litigation.
