Ms. Chancey practices in the areas of ERISA and Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation. She works with clients to ensure satisfaction of the requirements of ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code applicable to tax-qualified retirement plans, non-qualified deferred compensation arrangements, health and welfare benefit plans and fringe benefit programs. She has counseled clients on a wide variety of issues, including plan drafting and design, participant communication, claims administration, nondiscrimination testing, government filings and fiduciary obligations. She represents employers and other ERISA plan fiduciaries in proceedings before the Department of Labor, the Internal Revenue Service and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation.
Before joining Doerner, Saunders, Daniel & Anderson, Ms. Chancey practiced in the employee benefits group at Spencer, Fane, Britt & Browne in Overland Park, Kansas. Ms. Chancey is admitted to the Bar in Missouri and Kansas (Oklahoma pending).
