G. Michael Lewis received his undergraduate education from the University of Oklahoma in 1964, and his legal education at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, graduating in 1967. He was an Editor of the Oklahoma Law Review. Following graduation from law school, Mr. Lewis was commissioned as a Captain in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps, in which he served as Chief Trial Counsel and Chief of Military Justice of Headquarters, United States Army, Vietnam, and as a Military Judge; he was awarded the Bronze Star and the Air Medal.
Mr. Lewis, head of the Litigation Practice Group, is engaged in civil trial practice, antitrust and commercial litigation, and asbestos and toxic tort defense. Much of Mr. Lewis' litigation practice involves the defense of healthcare institutions regarding antitrust and regulatory issues. With more than 30 years experience as a trial lawyer, Mr. Lewis also assists individuals and corporations with issues of risk management and risk assessment. In 1995, Mr. Lewis received the Leadership Award from the Counsel Oak Chapter of American Inns of Court and in 2007 received the Inns Award for Professionalism and Ethics.
Mr. Lewis is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Bet-the-Company Litigation, Commercial Litigation and Personal Injury Litigation.
