Municipal Reorganizations

The attorneys in the Firm's creditors' rights group have experience representing municipalities in relatively little used proceedings under Chapter 9 of the Bankruptcy Code. The Firm is familiar with the special rules and procedure applicable to such cases, which provide municipalities the ability to restructure its debts and reject unfavorable contracts with limited interference by creditors or the court. Through our representation of municipalities, we understand the workings and needs of those organizations. Representative matters include:
