Since the early 1980s, the Firm has served as counsel for bankruptcy trustees, state court receivers, and creditors' trusts in a wide variety of cases and proceedings. The Firm has represented bankruptcy trustees both respecting ongoing business successfully reorganized, and in controlled liquidations yielding maximum returns for creditors. The Firm has represented trustees as both general and special counsel in a wide variety of cases, circumstances and specialties, utilizing the Firm's broad general expertise in bankruptcy, as well as in specialty areas such as corporations, labor, real estate, environmental and litigation. In representing trustees and receivers, the Firm has handled all aspects of case administration, creditor relations, claims management and resolution, plan formulation, confirmation and implementation, and litigation at all levels of state and federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court. Firm members have served as receivers and have also represented state receivers as counsel in successful administration of properties and assets subject to litigation.
