Of-Counsel

Doerner has historically hired lawyers in an of-counsel role to provide legal services in certain substantive areas on an as-needed basis. In addition, lawyers desiring a position with Doerner as a lateral hire are typically hired as of-counsel with a possible opportunity to move into partnership status if appropriate. Often lawyers of-counsel  have unique relationships with us that allow Doerner and its clients to benefit from the lawyer's unique expertise when the lawyer is not a full-time employee or partner of Doerner.
