This program will include a look at dining and explore innovative ways to enhance food service and resident/ employee satisfaction, including an affordable model of restaurant style and open dining, regulatory compliance, new trends in dining service, and regulatory compliance. A topic of key interest is legal actions resulting from issues such as building codes, assessments and care plans, family notifications, and unstable diabetics. We will encourage providers to take a fresh look at trends and marketing techniques. Regulatory issues such as the new legislation to guide the determination of scope and severity and the latest details on abuse and neglect reporting will be included. Medication administration updates will highlight delivery innovations, regulatory compliance, and administration guidance. Tips on computer systems and HIPAA compliance, including mobile devices, will also be discussed.

Approved for 6 hours CEU credit by the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB).
