Lewis N. Carter received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from Dartmouth College in 1973. After college, he served two years in Paraguay as a Peace Corps volunteer. After completing his term in the Peace Corps, Mr. Carter studied Anthropology in graduate school at the University of Texas. In 1980 he graduated from the University of Oklahoma Law School where he served as an Editor of the Oklahoma Law Review and was awarded membership in the Order of the Coif, and Order of the Barrister.
Mr. Carter's practice involves primarily commercial litigation and securities arbitration. Mr. Carter's practice also involves consumer credit matters. He is certified as an Adjunct Settlement Judge in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma. Mr. Carter is active in various civic and charitable organizations. He is past President of Tulsa Global Alliance. He is fluent in Spanish and regularly provides pro bono legal services to members of the Hispanic Community in
Tulsa.
