DSDA is a proud supporter of the arts. Attorney D. Benham Kirk, a Board Member, Executive Committee Member, and the Advocacy Chair of Allied Arts, joins Allied Arts President and CEO Sunny Cearley in sharing exciting news impacting the arts industry across Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma State Legislature recently approved an allocation of $10 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding to rebuild the state’s arts and cultural sector. Led by the Oklahoma Arts Council in partnership with Allied Arts OKC and Arts Alliance Tulsa, the proposal focused on a once-in-a-lifetime, historic and transformative investment for arts and cultural infrastructure statewide. This accomplishment will translate into ensuring that Oklahoma’s arts education and cultural arts sector continues to strengthen and have a positive economic development impact.
