On the evening of March 18, President Trump signed the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. In it, there were two significant acts addressing employers. One requires paid sick leave; the other expands the Family and Medical Leave Act. Each is addressed below. We wanted to get the information to you as soon as practicable. For paid sick leave and FMLA paid leave amounts required to be paid under these extraordinary measures, the law provides for tax credits.
