Over the weekend, the Tulsa Health Department updated its guidance to recommend that anyone who travelled over Spring Break to areas with widespread or ongoing community spread of COVID-19 self-isolate for 14 days after returning. All 50 states now have confirmed cases of the virus and many have documented community spread; individuals should consult the CDC website for the most up-to-date information. To be safe, this means that any Tulsans who travelled out of state should self-isolate. Self-isolating means that you should not go to work or school or otherwise leave your house for 14 days. This guidance applies even if you are not currently exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms. Though these measures are not currently required, the Tulsa Health Department stresses the importance of self-isolating in order to reduce exposure and slow the spread of COVID-19.
Employers may want to consider implementing or updating travel restrictions in light of the CDC and the Tulsa Health Department recommendations.
