As we have since the beginning, we continue to encourage employers to follow CDC guidance related to COVID-19. The guidance has changed over time as scientists and medical professionals have learned more about the virus. Here are some updated pages employers might find useful:
- Workplaces and Businesses – this is the main page
- Returning to Work – this page discusses the how’s and when’s of an employee returning to work from the employee’s perspective including, if you use the links, calendars to explain various quarantining scenarios
- How to Select, Wear, and Clean Your Mask– this page provides updated information on masks which your employees and visitors may find helpful
- Benefits of Getting a COVID-19 Vaccine
- Travel– this page was updated just before Thanksgiving and is updated frequently
Of course, over the months, the CDC has issued guidance tailored to a wide range of specific industries and occupations. These include categories such as transportation and delivery; construction; warehousing; restaurants and bars; banks; casinos; in-home service providers; utility workers; etc. If you would like to see if your workplace has specific CDC guidance, check here.
Finally, the news reports the CDC is considering changing the recommended quarantine and perhaps the isolation periods. As of the time of publication, those changes have not been finalized so we choose not to speculate but will keep you posted.
