Tulsa, OK – Doerner, Saunders, Daniel & Anderson, LLP (DSDA) welcomes Allison S. Tien and Melinda D. Abbott to our Oklahoma City office. Allison joins the firm as an associate attorney, and Melinda will work as a paralegal assisting with various transactional and litigation matters.
Allison’s practice primarily focuses on business and corporate transactions. Additionally, she handles intellectual property law matters that include activities such as formation of business entities, drafting various agreements, patents, copyrights and trademark registrations.
Excelling with honorable distinctions, Allison earned her Juris Doctorate from the Oklahoma City University School of Law where she was on the Dean’s List and on the Faculty Honor Roll for being an outstanding academic student. Additionally, Allison was honored with the CALI Excellence for the Future Award® for First Amendment Law and Emerging Technology. Previously, she attended Brandeis University to obtain her undergraduate degree in computer science with minors in business, economics and international/global studies. In addition, she earned her master’s degree in international economics and finance with a concentration in financial economics.
Melinda is an accomplished paralegal with over 20 years of experience. She works throughout a range of practice areas, including civil litigation, estate planning, probate, medical malpractice, personal injury, and insurance defense. Her strengths include case management, docketing management, document collection, analysis and production, clear communication and comprehensive trial support. Melinda received her associate’s degree in political science from Oklahoma State University.
