The legal cannabis industry is booming. As more states continue to legalize the sale and use of cannabis for medical and recreational purposes, entrepreneurs and businesses are finding unprecedented opportunities to get in on the ground floor of a rapidly growing multi-billion-dollar industry.

But, there are legal challenges. Not all states are taking the same approach to cannabis regulation. Oklahoma, for example, most-recently rejected a bid to legalize recreational (or “adult-use”) cannabis in 2023. Additionally, cannabis remains a Schedule I controlled substance at the federal level.
