Our dedicated real estate attorneys represent national businesses, institutional clients, local and regional developers and individuals seeking to purchase, develop or sell residential and commercial properties throughout Oklahoma and surrounding states. Our team has wide-ranging experience in all aspects of real estate law and transactions.
We are known and respected by municipal land use and zoning boards, lenders, architects, engineers and developers with whom we work. Honored locally and nationally by selective ranking organizations such as the Best Lawyers in America,© Doerner’s attorneys are consistently recognized for their outstanding success in the areas of Real Estate Law, Land Use and Zoning Law.
One of our greatest strengths is our experience with some of the biggest tax increment financing (TIF) incentives in Oklahoma’s history. While we typically assist developers with such transactions, we also advise municipalities. Our understanding of the political realities behind TIF projects – as well as the legal requirements – means that we can help clients and affiliates realize their business objectives.
Our team also focuses on real estate finance and investment. We advise borrowers, institutional and private lenders on commercial and residential finance, refinance transactions and construction loans. We provide thoughtful counsel to investors in the acquisition, sale and development of multi-family and office buildings, commercial condominium units, industrial manufacturing facilities, warehouses and shopping centers.
We routinely negotiate and draft ownership and equity arrangements, shareholder/operating agreements, management agreements and construction agreements. We also frequently negotiate and draft commercial lease agreements, including landlord and tenant representation in retail, office, restaurant, medical and warehouse/industrial facilities.
Essential to our success, our attorneys are hands-on and available to clients to keep forward momentum. We add value by anticipating problems and developing solutions in advance to prevent costly mistakes in the future.
